About these terms

The directory is operated by Doncaster Business Advertising. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you create an account, claim a listing or buy Premium, you confirm that you are at least 18 and authorised to act for the relevant business.

Directory information

We aim to provide useful and accurate local information, but listings may originate from public datasets, third parties, manual research or business owners. A listing is not an endorsement, recommendation or guarantee. Check important details directly with the business before relying on them.

Businesses can ask us to correct inaccurate information. We may edit, suspend or remove content where reasonably necessary to protect the directory, users or third parties.

Business data and map attribution

Some listing and location information comes from open and licensed datasets. OpenStreetMap data is provided by OpenStreetMap contributors under the Open Database Licence. Some business data is provided by the Overture Maps Foundation under its applicable data licences.

Interactive maps retain the attribution supplied by Mapbox and its mapping-data providers. Imported information can be corrected, enriched or replaced by verified business owners.

Accounts and ownership claims

You must provide accurate information, protect your account and tell us promptly about unauthorised access. A claim must only be submitted by someone with genuine authority to manage that business. We may ask for email, domain or documentary evidence, reject a claim, or move a conflicting claim to manual review.

A blue verification badge confirms that our ownership process was completed; it does not endorse the business, its services or every item in its listing.

Content you provide

You retain ownership of your content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, adapt and display it for operating, promoting and improving the directory. You confirm that the content is accurate, lawful, does not infringe another person’s rights and that you have permission to provide it.

Premium subscriptions

Premium is a paid presentation and placement service for business customers. The current price, billing interval and features are shown before Stripe Checkout. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Stripe processes payments and provides the billing portal for invoices, payment methods and cancellation.

Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid billing period. Premium benefits continue during a valid cancellation grace period, then end. Premium never purchases verification, control of a listing, guaranteed enquiries or a particular search-engine position.

Prices and features may change for future billing periods. We will provide notice where required. Taxes will be handled as shown at checkout and on the invoice.

Acceptable use

You must not submit fraudulent claims, impersonate another person, upload unlawful or malicious material, interfere with security, scrape the service in a way that harms availability, or use the directory to spam, mislead or infringe others. We may restrict or close accounts and remove content where these terms are breached.

Availability and liability

We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the service for maintenance, security or product reasons. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, or decisions made using third-party listing information.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Ending use and resolving problems

You can stop using the directory at any time. Account deletion, listing retention and active subscription cancellation are handled through the account settings process. Provisions concerning payments already due, content licences, liability and disputes survive where necessary.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Contact us first so we have an opportunity to resolve any concern.
